It’s been 2 weeks since I have finish chemo and I’m feeling great. I just saw my rectal surgeon and he check me out and says everything has heal and we are ready in April to start testing my lower bowels for reversal surgery. I have schedule my surgery for May 28th. I will also be getting a Pet-scan on early May. Well I’m off to Las Vegas next week for a 4 day vacation. I really need it.

Rick

I’m done with my chemo treatments. It has taken a big toll on my body. My hands are numb and my finger tips have turn dark color. Also my hair is very thin. Thank God it was only 6 treatments I don’t know if I could have handle any more. I’m still getting over the last treatment it usually takes me one week to start to feel better. I will be going to work full time tomorrow knowing I don’t have to do chemo next week what a great feeling. I also have trip set up in March to Las Vegas this will be my first vacations since I was told I had cancer back in June. I want to thanks all my friends for all your support thur all the months and also I’m going to missed Cheryl she was one of the first person to give me hope when I arrived here. Now off to get back my life back to normal and to enjoy everyday like is my last one.

Rick

larissa threw a punch at your cancer.

Yay, you made it! Proud to have you in the finish line corner…love the picture of you and your cat. I have two cats, and they are very comforting to have around…especially at nap time. ;)
Take care and continue to heal!
Larissa

Whoo hoo! Way to go! I’ve been finished with chemo 4 months now and still have neuropathy in my hands and feet. My doctor told me to take vitamin b-6 3 times a day. It’s helping some, but he said it could take a year. In some cases that numbness and tingliness never goes completely away. the hair grows back too! :) Mine is coming in, its like baby hair, but it’s coming in. Congrats on getting back to work, that helped me tremendously when I returned to work. Keep positive and I am sure you will be wonderful!
